The little dark corners

To really get to know and understand yourself, you have to dig deep. My experience is that, when you do that, the most revealing places are the little dark corners. When you shine the flashlight on them, what you think you see is not really what’s there. At first, you just want to turn the light off and skidaddle. Don’t. Look it straight on. Grapple with it.

Again, in my experience, this where you find your most human and complex self banging heads with upbringing, moral ambiguity, the fuzzy edge where good meets evil, and forgiveness.
