The bull in the china shop

The bull in the china shop just invaded Europe, smashing his way through NATO, breaking the strength of alliances, bullying other leaders. No tact. No diplomacy. No consistency in policy. Just thugishness.

So what’s new? His popularity seems to be inching up among his base supporters. The rhetoric that characterizes his presidency as an ideological battle or a party battle is going nowhere. The issue should be that an America government without integrity and compassion, plagued by cronyism and partisanship, without a commitment to honesty builds no great America at all.

Democrats must make the case that Trumpism erodes any sense that values are important to the lives of every American and that traditional American values do make their lives better.
