All human beings need beauty. Beauty is sweet, saccharine,
profound, sublime, classic, radical. It can be found in everything, as the
human spirit has so often demonstrated. A few have no use for beauty; a few see
it everywhere.
Beauty is myriad, presenting itself at every wavelength of
its wide spectrum. Most of us pick it up at one of its frequencies. Some pick
it up at one wavelength to find it at all others. Some dance across the
spectrum.
Some find it in a neutron. For others it’s a sunset. For
others it’s a newborn child. For others it’s a work of art. For others it’s in
ideas. Each of us should recognize where we are tuned. The artists in any discipline
are there to help.
