Good

We live in a time in America when evil seems to be ascendant. Evil that laughs at compassion, that embraces power for its own sake, that turns its back on racism and bigotry. But we have to remember that good has its own power, too. It has a longer memory, and it has hope on its side.

We can never be rid of evil, but good is good at slowly eroding it. Good is courageous and persistent. It won’t give up because it is the core of our deepest humanity
