Childhood leaves an indelible imprint. Some blossom from
this imprint. Some die. Some heal. Some struggle to unbury themselves. Some
forgive and more forward. Some poison the world around them with bitterness.
Some turn their burdens into gifts for others. Some become adults frozen in
their childhoods.
This is why children are so important. Why we must nurture
them, educate them, love them. How many of society’s stubborn problems could be
eased if we truly made healthy lives of children our priorities.
