Impeachment trrial

Unless a sudden wave of integrity sweeps the Senate, it seems inevitable that Donald Trump will not be found guilty in his impeachment trial. Republicans have quietly and dutifully suppressed any negative responses to Donald Trump’s trail of lies, chaotic White House, bumbling foreign policy, nepotism, fumbling leadership.

This training has allowed the Republicans to believe that it’s all a matter of “they just don’t like Trump,” and that “he’s done nothing wrong.” Impeachable or not, he’s done plenty things wrong. Look at our stature in the world. Look at how he has been played by Putin, Xi and Kim. All the Presidents in my memory have given speeches that call upon the better angels of the audiences. Trump’s speeches are rude, crude and low class affairs meant to stroke his own ego.

If Trump is not found guilty, it will be hard to stomach his ego dances. We can only hope that the American public comes to its senses in November.
