Christmas at Answers in Genesis
The stable and manger have been constructed according to
Biblical standards. Joseph (he likes to be called Joe) sits in anxious
anticipation. The barn animals await, too, casually nibbling at the straw.
Shepherds were not easy to find, but several made it on time.
The line of young, pregnant women is not as long as it was
last year, but each believes she has been called, after having been vetted by
AIG. One at a time, each will come sit with Joe, each knowing that if the Dove
appears and the angel choirs explode in song, she will be mother of the Child
of the Second Coming.
If that blessed spectacle comes to be, wise men on camels
are on alert in Iraq, Egypt and Ethiopia.
