Just another day in America. Another school shooting. But it’s
ho-hum for the NRA and ho-hum for the Congress, busy with its hearings and
subpoenas. Two young men lost their lives saving the lives of others. There was
not much from POTUS about that, but Tiger got a big medal for overcoming life
issues, mostly of his own making.
News-wise we get the drama of the shootings, the interviews
of family and friends, the law enforcement side. But no one asks how these
young shooters got their guns, who is responsible for that access and who
should be accountable.
What about the voices for prevention? They are out there,
determined and persistent, and they ought to be heard.
