Evolution

Evolution endowed me with a penis for reproduction purposes. It came with an ignition mechanism, but unfortunately didn’t come with an owner’s manual indicating best practices for how and when to use it. As consequence law, religion and culture (sometimes in collaboration) produced their sets of rules of usage. These rules often came from the top down and didn’t seek feedback from average owners.

Evolution simply assumed that pleasure led to reproduction and the preservation of species. Through time, humans had other ideas, which caused lots of banging of heads against the walls of law, religion and culture.

Modern humans, with their science, technology and liberal leanings, have made a full assault on the limits to sexual behavior. The individual is free to choose, often free to ignore any consequences.

But freedom has responsibilities, and addressing those responsibilities requires education. Sadly, in our culture, the education about human sexuality comes from the distortions of pornography, TV and movies and sexualized marketing.
