Gender

Gender has come under scrutiny these days. It is no longer the dualistic concept it used to be, but has taken on a meaning that is fluid and open. At the same time each culture has its own norms for what it means to be a man or a woman. These are often rigid, rooted in time and cultural consciousness.

In reality, though, each individual is a unique combination of male and female principles seeking dynamic yin-yang balance. Physiology, psychology, hormones, culture and spirituality all affect the search for this balance.

This is why true manhood or womanhood is a challenging lifelong journey, whether alone or with a partner.
