Recent TV commercials have shown manly men going about their
manly routines while the speaker discusses their botox procedures. These men
are confident and productive as a list of side effects from rashes to death is
delineated.
This is an indication of a trend that has seen, from
2000-2016, a 363% increase in lower body lifts in men, a 401% increase of lip
augmentations in men and a 567% increase in buttock lifts among men. Also on
the rise are pectoral and calf implants.
In 2017, a total of 8.56 billion was spent on cosmetic
surgery among men and women. In the same year U.S. Targeted Assistance for the
homeless was 5.83 billion.
