Sadder truth

Almost any teenage American male has relatively easy access to guns, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and pornography. These have all become means of adventure, escape, false manhood and the pretense of adulthood and independence to young men whose brains are not fully developed enough for reliable decision making.

The sadder truth is that all of these temptations are big money to relentless sellers at big costs to the users. What may seem like obvious dangers to a healthy life have become common addictions. How did this happen when we claim to love our children?
