Experience tells us that God
Speaks only in whispers
(The angels are the noisy ones)
So we must be attentive
A difficult task
In this clamorous world
We have to be quiet within ourselves
Crafting our ability to listen
For the messages that have already
Been sown within
So we can make the noise
That makes us human
