Seeking God

The Greeks saw the universe one way. Copernicus saw it another way. Galileo saw it another way. Einstein saw it another way. Hawking saw it another way. But all along it was the same universe.

Science is a truth seeking process, even if that truth may turn out to be transitory. Science keeps an open mind and is relentless in its search to understand nature.

This is where religion could take a lesson from science. Knowing God is not a static thing, and religion should not be a static thing. It should search for its truth, and not freeze that truth in time. Humans evolve and their spiritual understanding evolves.

God is God like the universe is the universe, not ever fully knowable, but always revealing more of God’ self as humans search ever more earnestly and honestly.
