We hear so much about racism, sexual abuse of children,
violent domestic abuse, addiction of all kinds. We get follow-up on punishment
and treatment. But, to me, we never hear about root causes.
Are they too varied, too complex, too hard to identify?
Where else could lasting solutions come from if not from addressing root
causes? The safety net may catch many, but why did they jump in the first place?
