Society is changing and art is changing. Sometimes society
drags art along with it. Sometimes art drags society along with it. Art is an
often unnoticed mirror of society. If only we would take the time for a careful
look.
The problem is that there are few guidelines for this
careful look. There is no guarantee that critics, museums, curators or
galleries have the answer, especially the answer for you. But looking at lots
of art, giving it time and thought, allows for discrimination and for
development of personal criteria. If it’s art of substance, it won’t let you
go.
