Damar

I believe most people want to do good and show their concern for others. The most recent example is the outpouring of all kinds of support for Damar—public demonstrations, financial contributions and media coverage. The problem for me is that we don’t see the same kind of support and media coverage for a teacher shot by a 6-year-old and still caring for the safety of her children. Damar will be in the media until he is back on the field. The teacher will get a couple of days of coverage. There will be much discussion of how well the NFL protects its players, but much less discussion of how we can protect teachers and keep guns out of the hands of 6-year-olds.
