As human beings, we all have a public self, but also a hidden self, which we often bury deep within us. Society tells us what we can openly express and what must stay hidden. Some of us, most often artists, believe that every human part of us is worthy of consideration. These individuals, freeing themselves, free us. They offer themselves to the world in ways that offer all of us a chance to open up to our full humanity.
