Does a cockroach have an easy life? Does a panda have an easy life? Does the queen bee have an easy life? Should humans have an easy life? We believe we should, but the daily dose of new tells us that it’s unlikely for most, and not even for some.
Did attendance at a spectacle or did a pleasant vacation make us better people than making sacrifices for a child or pushing a personal boundary? Humans can’t escape life’s pain.
Evolution didn’t make us who we’ve become. God didn’t ordain this path for humanity.
We made our bed. Now have to lie in it and decide whether we get out of bed and do something or just pull the covers over our heads.
