We all study our native tongue so we can express ourselves.
We don’t have to be great poets or masters of language to say what we think and
feel. What we speak and write is how we make sense of the world.
Art is a language, too. It’s meant to do the same thing our
native tongue does, but in a different and complementary way. So why does the
visual language take such a secondary position in education and culture? Artists
are heroes, too.
