Consequences

This is a course I would like to see required for every high school student.
It is called “Consequences.” This is the set of topics, which are treated not as admonishments, but as tough, honest and factually based.

The consequences of addiction to tobacco, alcohol and drugs.

The consequences of accumulating debt.

The consequences of not saving for the future.

The consequences of an adolescent brain.

The consequences of inappropriate sexual behavior.

The consequences of not having a trusted adult mentor.

The consequences of thoughtful decision making.

The consequences of bullying.

The consequences of misunderstanding mental health.

The consequences of misuse of social media.

I’m sure there are other topics, but so far these are mine. I’ve just seen so many young people side-tracked by bad decisions and lack of information.
