Women actors at the Golden Globes, dressed in high couture,
reminded us of the progress that had been made by women in the multiple aspects
of film and television production--with more progress still to be made. That’s
good.
But how many ordinary looking, slightly overweight, balding
men, who don’t have a personal trainer to go for those abs of steel, wind up in
leading man roles? So we’re starting #ORDINARYGUYS. We have talent, passion and
charisma to spare. We want to wear the nice clothes, get the good lines and be
in the hot sex scenes. We’re tired of the whole “character actor” bag.
By the 2020 Oscars, we’re calling for 50% of all leading man
roles to be played by us, the ORDINARY GUYS.
