In the past we have declared war on drugs and war on poverty and war on illiteracy. Why do we think in terms of war as a solution. War always has dire consequences for the people it purports to save.
Why don’t we declare love on drugs and then care about alleviating the circumstances that cause their use. Why don’t we declare love on poverty by programs that address the root causes. Why don’t we declare love on illiteracy by giving the opportunity for a good education to all.
