This is the problem with art. It doesn’t have a marching
band. And it doesn’t have a double row of fans to cheer the artists as they
enter the gallery. It doesn’t have fireworks outside the gallery whenever a
sale is made. It doesn’t have overpriced food and beverages at the openings (a
sure sign that the art is big league), so the artists can make a bit of a
living. It doesn’t have commentators to explain what’s happening in the work in
the gallery. It doesn’t have artist bobble heads to give away.
It’s just art.
