Hold a baby. While you are holding this baby, recognize that by the time this baby reaches middle age, the world's human population will have more than doubled to 15 billion people. At that point, how much will the seas have risen? How much of the world's population will be poor and disgruntled? How will the world's wealth be distributed? What will the unemployed and uneducated youth be doing? How will the aged be cared for? What will be the state of personal freedom and personal privacy? Where will all the refugees be?

For this baby, you must live optimistically. But you must also live responsibly. Hold this baby tight.
