If they try their best to love us, that should be enough.
If they grieve in the way they know, we should be content.
If they run the race with their best effort, their finish
should be first place to us.
If they think it’s time to go, we should let them leave.
If they want to be themselves, we should remind them of
their responsibilities.
If they want to make their own decisions, we should tell them
there are consequences.
If they fall. they should know we are a net.
If they leave on the road to healthy adulthood, we have
succeeded.
