It’s done. Now both sides must act with humility and generosity if we are to right the American ship. Hope, courage, leadership, competence and compassion are the qualities that will move us forward. But this will not happen magically or easily. It will take hard work—damn hard work. Every day.
This not something that will happen only from the top. This is a task for every politician and every citizen. Each individual must decide what is possible for them to contribute.
So celebrate and then nose to the grindstone.
