Dictator on our shores

How is it that a handful of dictators and strongmen can so totally fuck up the world?

Even on our shores, Donald Trump has taken the Presidency about as far as he can toward making himself a dictator. He doesn’t listen to his advisors. He makes off-the- cuff pronouncements on important national and international issues. He has a ridiculously inflated notion of himself. He meets his needs for luxury on taxpayer expense. And look at the world leaders he admires—Kim, Vlad and Rodrigo.

Any criticism of him is seen as a personal attack, and he lashes out with crude and vulgar responses. Lies are the staple of his manipulation of voters, and he manages to silence any dissent from his party followers. He surrounds himself with corrupt attack dogs and has even made attempts to muster the loyalty of the military.

It astounds me that so many still have not seen this clearly
