We are now living out one big and significant civics lesson.
By the time it is done, it will have tested the Constitution, the separation of
powers of the branches of government, the limits of the Presidency, the
integrity of lawmakers, the two-party system, and the willingness of the voters
to forego complacency.
In a time when democracy is being tested all over the world,
America is being tested as well as the model of democracy it has held itself to
be. Of the people, by the people and for the people. The people had better pay
careful attention.
