Justice

Can justice come from a court system that that is not blind to wealth, class and race? Can justice come from laws created by and in favor of special interests? Can justice come from legislators who vote self-interest and self-preservation? Can the law even claim to recognize what justice is?

If we look as American culture as it is--courts, jails, elections, lobbying, wealth, education, poverty, mental illness--little reflects real justice. Why must so many battles be fought out in the streets? Sadly, this is not new to history. But why still?
