Is there a message in the body that speaks our sexual identity? For him, his preference was never in question and never questioned by his parents. The only real question was how flamboyant. High school was more about fashion than behavior. College was more about behavior than connection. Middle age was more about connection than comfort. Living with, sleeping with another whose gaps he filled with love and flair was enough to last him until that unexpected, insidious and withering death. But, dear, what he wore to his own funeral!

- I've taught at the Art Academy of Cincinnati for 30 years. My way to art was a bit out of the ordinary. BS, Tulane University in Mathematics and Chemistry, ready to start a dissertion in mathematics at U. of Notre Dame. Dropped out to teach at a small college in E.Kentucky. Then BS in fine art from U. of New Orleans and MFA, Drawing, U. of Cincinnati. So the study of art is less the basis of my art-making than a solid liberal arts approach to the world.
