Webb

 Webb

Seraphim and cherubim must now

Work overtime to keep heaven’s

Machinery lubed for its dying

And living galactic concoctions

They have been flying at us

At the speed of light for light years

Beyond our comprehension

Now a gift of Webb’s eyeball

As enticing and mysterious as God

A sea of nebula, stars and galaxies

A dance of light and energy

As prone to death as we are

As fascinating and complex

As we could be

If we tried a little harder
