How many times in a day do you encounter spin, half-truths, misleading ads, seductive and manipulative marketing, outright lies, deception, celebrity sales pitches and media distortions? And the perpetrators are politicians, corporate marketing, online websites, social media, fringe groups, religious organizations and news organizations. No wonder honesty and integrity are so hard to find. And no question that education and critical thinking are essential.
